GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. It operates in two segments – pharmaceuticals and consumer healthcare. Since the merger of Glaxo Wellcome and SmithKline Beecham in 2000, the company has been reporting increasing financial returns. On one hand, the company is entering into collaborations, agreements and partnerships, restructuring its R&D (Research and Development) and expanding its product portfolio.
