Abstract:
In July 2004, American Telephone and Telegraph Company (AT&T) pulled out from its traditional business of providing local and long distance communication to its consumers. It decided to shift its focus to corporate customers. The decision was one of the many steps taken by the telecommunication giant to regain the status of being the number one in the US communication industry.
