Structured Assignments

‘Structured assignment’ is a new initiative of the Icfai Business School Case Development Centre. It is a set of questions developed exclusively for management case study users to understand critical insights from case studies. A structured assignment consists of three building blocks. It starts with a set of broad discussion questions, which introduce the users to the basic learning objectives of the case before dealing with the management issues in focus. It is followed by a case analysis part, which consists of questions from each section of the case study and helps in detailed understanding of the core issues in the case. A structured assignment ends with another set of discussion questions, which are general, sometimes open-ended and can be answered only with a broad understanding of the fundamental issues in the case study.
