Effective executive interview with Anand Talwar on Talent Management

Anand Talwar is ITC Infotech's Global Head of Talent Management. He heads the talent management function for both the IT services and BPO operations and supervises the Human Relations activity of its overseas operations. He is currently working towards building a "worldclass" organization through strategic interventions in human management practices and ensuring that the organization has the necessary competitive edge as "knowledge leaders".

Talwar has over 21 years of experience in the Talent Management function. He started his career as a Welfare Officer and subsequently spent the earlier part of his career in the manufacturing industry where he handled various responsibilities encompassing human relations management, staff welfare and industrial relations.

In 1996, Talwar shifted his career to the service industry and was instrumental in setting up a start-up company in the telecom

space when the cellular industry was deregulated in India. As a core team member of the start-up operation, his focus was on strategic hiring of the top team and in creating the processes and systems for ensuring effective delivery of services.

He holds an MBA from the University of Rochester, USA and has keen interests in the areas of organizational behavior and social service.
