Incubators play multiple roles in producing a successful entrepreneur in the course of incubator
management. On the one hand, incubators often acted as a catalyst for the introduction of high

Global Scenario of Technology and Business Incubation
By 2006, there were nearly 4000 incubators of various types operating in the U.S. (Exhibit II:
Global Scenario-Number of incubators). Europe had nearly 1000 incubators including 300 in
Germany. Among the developing countries, China showed a growth in the increase of incubators
and over a period of ten years China had set up almost 400 incubators. Most of them were linked
to Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Korea was also reported to have about 300 Incubators.
