On May 7, 2008, Jamie Dimon (Dimon), Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of US-based banking major JPMorgan Chase & Company (JPMorgan Chase), received an award for the 'Most Admired Leader Outside the Asia Pacific and Gulf Regions'2. Nearly 55 percent of the respondents voted for Dimon for his strategic thinking ability. On receiving the award, Dimon said, "It is an honor to accept this award and extremely gratifying to know that it has been awarded through the feedback of my peers and fellow chief executives from across the APAC region. We appreciate this recognition, and I am pleased to share it with the tremendous team at JPMorgan."3
