"Corporate houses have done very well for themselves. The government can't act in seclusion. Why should we shy away from our responsibility toward the society? Against great odds, we have built up a capacity to make the nation proud. Over the next 50 years, let us shift our attention to the eradication of poverty from the nation. Let us innovate and do something for the poor." - Dr. Anji Reddy, Founder - DRFHSD, in January 2000.1 "When I hear of the success stories of youth at LABS, I feel the same degree of happiness and satisfaction that I get when I hear the success of one of the drug research initiatives at our scientific laboratory." - Dr. Anji Reddy, Founder DRFHSD in July 2003.2 Changing LivesOn August 5, 2001, 250 young boys and girls from the slums of Hyderabad completed their training under the DRFHSD's Livelihood Advancement Business School (LABS) program.
